Waxing, a semi-permanent hair removal treatment, removes unwanted hair by the root. The removed hairs will not grow back for about 3 to 5 weeks. Waxing is done by spreading a thin layer of warm sensitive skin wax on the targeted hair. A muslin cloth is placed on top of the soft wax. and it is removed in a rapid movement working against the direction of hair growth. Smooth, silky, hairless skin is all that remains. A topical antiseptic is applied. If waxing is done on a regular basis, permanent hair reduction may be achieved.
